Spring 2025: What Will Be Trending?
Boho, and patterns, and furs, oh my!
Spring 2025 is shaping up to be a season full of timeless classics, playful patterns, and bold textures. From minimalism to bohemian flair, there's something for everyone as we embrace a mix of nostalgia and modern sophistication. Here's a sneak peek at the trends that will define the season and how you can seamlessly incorporate them into your wardrobe
Simplicity
This spring, we’re going back to basics. Lately, I’ve noticed a shift on social media toward classic, timeless designs—outfits that feel effortless yet refined. On her podcast Anything Goes, fashionista Emma Chamberlain predicted that “90s minimalism” would be hot in 2025, and I couldn’t agree more. There’s a major appeal for understated fashion, especially as people gravitate toward pieces that stand the test of time rather than fleeting trends.
Think Priscilla Presley meets a Calvin Klein ad—I’m imagining white T-shirts tucked into straight-leg jeans, all layered under structured outerwear like a trench coat (buttoned all the way to the top, of course—iykyk). But while the silhouettes may be simple, accessories will steal the show. Little brown sunglasses, kitten heels, headscarves, and leather totes will add that classic feminine touch, elevating even the most basic ensembles. It’s going to be all about curating a wardrobe that feels effortlessly chic—minimalist, yes, but never boring.
How to Wear It: Start with timeless staples like a white T-shirt or straight-leg jeans, and layer with structured pieces like a trench coat. Add accessories like retro sunglasses or a leather tote to elevate the look. Keep it minimal, but make it chic.
Patterns
Polka dots, polka dots, polka dots—you’re probably tired of hearing about them, but they really are that girl. Timeless yet playful, they have the perfect balance between vintage charm and sleek simplicity. Whether it’s a ‘60s midi dress or a structured blouse, polka dots always find a way to feel fresh. In my opinion, the Carlson sisters, Devon Lee and Sydney Lynn, are the queens of the polka dot. Their approach to fashion feels fun and nostalgic yet totally classy—definitely check them out for some springtime inspo.
Along with polka dots, stripes are going to have a serious moment. With the rise of clown core and a collective craving for whimsy, bold striped prints are the perfect way to incorporate fun into an outfit. I see this trend popping up a lot in tights—hopefully, we’ll be seeing more multi-colored combos like yellow and green or pink and purple. But stripes won’t just be about playful hues; with both 2010s Tumblr-chic and minimalist fashion gaining traction, the classic black and white striped long sleeve is bound to be the staple of the season. It’s just too perfect!
How to Wear It: Add polka dots through blouses or dresses, or keep it playful with a striped tee. Try a bold, multicolored striped pair of tights for a fun, standout look, or go classic with black-and-white stripes that pair with almost anything.
Animal Influences
This fall and winter, leopard print had its moment. With the resurgence of indie sleaze, prints that embraced the messy, rockstar-glam aesthetic took the lead, bringing back that early 2010s party-girl vibe. We also saw a plethora of fur coats reminiscent of Kate Moss’ signature faux-fur black jacket. As we move into spring, I think patterns and furs will stick around, but with a softer feel.
Zebra print is poised to take the forefront, continuing the party-girl-chic look, but spring fashion always comes with an air of classiness. So, while indie sleaze isn’t going anywhere, I see lighter and more intentional outfits at the forefront. I predict that tan, brown, and off-white faux (or second-hand) furs will be everywhere. In addition, I’m convinced that faux-fawn print is about to blow up—it totally embodies the charm that springtime holds.
How to Wear It: Start small with accessories like zebra-print scarves or bags. For a bold statement, go for faux-fur zebra jackets or coats. Pair with light, neutral fabrics for a refined yet edgy look.
Bohemian-Chic
Recent runway shows have taken a lot of inspiration from the boho aesthetic, bringing a fresh take on the free-spirited style. Fendi, Valentino, and Chloe all showcased a ton of beadwork and embroidery, which are key to the vibe. There’s a definite nod to the ‘70s with maxi dresses, wide sleeves, and earthy color palettes, but this time, it feels more elevated and polished.
Rather than going full-on Vanessa Hudgens Coachella 2012, think of vintage dresses, lace tights, lace-up boots, and ruffles. Layered gold jewelry, sheer shawls, and oversized belts help balance the softness with a bit of edge. Fringe, crochet, and patchwork may also make an appearance, reinforcing the handcrafted, artisanal feel that defines boho style. The modern take should be less about flower crowns and more about mixing romantic textures with statement accessories.

How to Wear It: Try a vintage-inspired maxi dress with lace tights and boots. Layer gold jewelry, oversized belts, or sheer shawls to elevate the look. Add a crochet cardigan or fringed bag for a boho touch without going overboard.
